When I was overseas last year with my Dad, I became quite obsessed with doors/windows/arches. I noticed how different they are to the boring ones we have in Australia. We don't make a feature of them here. But in Europe, they do, and they are stunning. I took my first "door" photo in Crail, a tiny fishing village in Scotland. And then it started. I began taking photos of all sorts of doors, windows, arches, stairs, stairways, details of building, everything that caught my eye. The doors were so ornate, strong, imposing. The windows seemed to cheery with their window boxes and flowers. The colours were just fantastic! It got to the point that when we were looking through all the photos I processed from the trip (over 1300 of them), my family would yell out ... "Another door!" when they saw another photo. I think they are really cool. So, here are my "door" photos. I hope you like them as much as I do. I just wish I had started taking them earlier to have a complete collection.
