My location scouting this week took me to Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby.  When I got there, I remembered I actually photogaphed a wedding there several years ago!  The gardens are a very quiet, calming place.  You travel down a lot of stairs (so this location is NOT for those with mobility issues) and are just welcomed with paths that are lined with beautiful flowers and the sounds of the water feature.  There are lots of paths to walking tracks through the bush but there is also an indoor pond with gorgeous coloured fish.  Lots of lovely bridges to take photos on and beautiful big grassy areas.  There is also a large gazebo where I photographed the wedding ceremony all those years ago.  There are water dragons which I saw on my way back up the stairs as well, which kids would love to look out for!  There is also a little table and chairs so you can bring a picnic with you too and have a lovely day out with your family.
