It is amazing how you can live in a city but never really "see" it!  You go through a place focused on your destination, or the person you are walking with, and never look around, never look up, and never really notice how cool your city actually is!  Well, that is what happened with me in the Sydney CBD.  I worked here for months (back in 1998) and come in regularly, but don't look at through the lens (pardon the pun) of a location for family or couple photography.  Not the main CBD anyway.  We only ventured through a few blocks, but found some really cool places.  Everyone knows some of the regulars, Angel Place with the bird cages etc, but you can find all sorts of other cool spots that would be great for urban photography.  Have a look around and see if there is somewhere you think you can see your family standing!
